Understand the Scorecard

How the 0–100 strategic score, dimension scores, and confidence signals work.

Updated August 24, 2026 · 2 min read

The strategic scorecard is the free report's headline. It is a 0–100 outside-in assessment with dimension scores, evidence, and confidence. It is included in the free report.

In this article we will show you how to read the overall score, the dimensions, and confidence.

The Sample Co. strategic scorecard is shown at 71/100 with a dimensional breakdown.
The Sample Co. strategic scorecard is shown at 71/100 with a dimensional breakdown.

How to Read It

  • Overall score is a synthesis, not a grade from a human reviewer.
  • Dimension scores (for example market, product, moat) show where the argument is stronger or weaker.
  • Confidence tells you how well the public evidence supports that dimension. Low confidence is a signal to treat the number as a hypothesis.
  • Not scored means public data was not enough. Unlocking the full report does not magically score a dimension the public web cannot support.

What the Score Is Not

It is not a credit rating, a valuation, or a prediction of deal success. Use it to see how the company presents from the outside, then verify with your own data.
